The name, Waterford
Advisors, describes what we do and for whom.
Nearly every state in the U.S. has a city or village of Waterford,
most often on a river, so named for the relatively shallow – and thus easily
forded – depth at that very spot.
Our muse is in the Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New
Hampshire, between the Green and White Mountains, where long ago towns on each
side of the river were named Waterford.
We chose Waterford, where rivers can be crossed when a bridge isn’t
an option, because knowing where fords lie and ensuring safe passage through
swift currents requires experienced guides who earn their clients’ trust each
and every day.
Just like we do.
